This website
The speech time calculator runs entirely in your browser; text you paste into it is never sent anywhere. The online teleprompter keeps your script in your browser's storage; its voice tracking uses your browser's built-in speech recognition, which in Chrome sends audio to Google for processing. Webcam recordings made in the teleprompter are created in your browser and downloaded to your device; they are never uploaded. We never receive your script, audio or video. The demo video on our pages shows a thumbnail from YouTube; the YouTube player (privacy-enhanced mode) loads only if you press play. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page and time) for security, for up to 30 days.
Mac beta list
If you join the Mac beta list, we store your email address, the use you picked and the page you signed up on, so we can email you about SocialAI Prompter. We don't store your IP address. We never sell or share the list. To be removed, email[email protected].
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages and tools they use, and where they come from. It records things like pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device and browser, and anonymous tool events such as "teleprompter started" or "speaking test finished" with the measured pace. It never receives your script, transcript or audio. Advertising features and Google signals are turned off, and we don't use the data for advertising.
Outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default and Google receives only cookieless signals. You can opt out everywhere with Google'sopt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies for this site.
The SocialAI app
- Your profile, scripts and session history are stored on your Mac.
- When you use live transcription, audio is streamed to our speech-to-text provider (Deepgram) to turn it into text.
- When you ask for suggested answers or a debrief, the relevant text is sent through our server to an AI model provider (via OpenRouter) to generate the response. Our server doesn't keep it.
- On first launch the app registers a random device ID with our server, so your plan's limits work without an account. The server keeps that ID, your plan and usage counts (minutes of cloud speech, number of answers and debriefs). It doesn't keep your audio, transcripts, profile or scripts.
- If the app crashes, it sends us a short crash report: the error message, where in the app's code it happened, and the app and macOS versions. File paths, email addresses and keys are removed first, and it never includes transcripts, your profile or scripts.
- We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
