Private by design
Scripts stay on your Mac. The teleprompter only needs the microphone; no screen recording. (Interview practice also needs system audio to hear the other person.)

Is SocialAI Prompter free?
Yes, during the beta. At launch there will be a Free plan (the overlay, steady-speed scrolling, imports and 30 minutes of voice tracking a week), Pro at $7.99 a month or $59 a year (unlimited voice tracking and practice), and Interview Pro at $19 a month for job seekers who want more practice reviews with AI coaching.
Which Macs does it run on?
macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple Silicon (M1 and newer) and Intel Macs. It is one universal app.
Does it work with Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams?
Yes. It is a separate window that stays on top of any app, so it works with Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, Slack huddles and recording apps such as QuickTime, OBS and Loom.
Can people on the call see the teleprompter?
Not on your camera: the camera only films you. If you share your entire screen, the strip is part of the screen, so share a single window or tab instead when you're presenting.
Does it need the internet?
In the beta, voice tracking sends microphone audio to our speech-recognition provider (Deepgram) to turn it into text; audio is not stored by us. On-device recognition, which works offline and keeps audio on your Mac, is coming soon. Steady-speed scrolling never needs the internet.
How is it different from the free online teleprompter?
A browser tab cannot stay on top of a full-screen meeting or let clicks pass through. The Mac app floats on top of your meeting window, sits right under your webcam, and lets you keep clicking Mute or Share underneath.
